Guy Van HeurckHead of Competence Centres
Mr. Guy Van Heurck has been working within Tractebel for 26 years. From 1991-1995 he has been working in the electrical maintenance staff of Electrabel at the Power Plant of DOEL12. He participated as electrical study engineer from 1996 up to 2001 in the realization of about 12 cogeneration plants with respect to detailed electrical engineering, equipment procurement, FAT testing, site supervision and electrical commission of the generators and diverse electrical equipment. From the end of 2001 up to the end of 2006, Guy was active as Project Manager in the Transmission and Distribution section of Tractebel Engineering. From 2007 up to the end 2011 again active in the construction of Power Plants and participated as Project Manager of the BFG- Power Plant Project of Knippegroen. In 2012 nominated as Program Director of the framework agreement with the Belgian net operator ELIA as well as Project Director for the coordination of the diverse offshore substations projects within the Transmission and Distribution section of Tractebel Engineering. From 2013 till the end of 2015 he was Section Manager Europe T&D, responsible for the coordination of the T&D projects to be realized in Europe, including the offshore substation projects. Since 2016 he’s the head of the T&D competence centres as well as the head of the T&D offshore substation projects.
The aim of the workshop is to discuss and educate the industry about the market technological production capabilities to supply the necessary components, materials and services to implement the 66kV inter array cable and the surrounding technology.
